The day after torrential rains found Marsh Creek with a higher water level,
but suprisingly the water was still clear. Thirty boats showed up for the
tournament, 57 fishermen, for our largest group so far. Nine three fish limits
were caught and the total fish caught and weighed was 37. Unfortunately, two
fish were dead.

This tournament had a record of 33 boats and 62 fishermen and women participating.
It was a beautiful evening with calm air and water as still as a mirror.
There were 13 three fish limits brought in and a total of 48 bass weighed
in and all were released alive and well. Fish were caught on top water baits,
jigs, worms and the ever popular Senko. Many reported catching keeper bass
in the weeds and drop offs as well as in the "slop" with floating
baits like frogs and mice.

The weather sure has been wet and challenging this summer and it rained for
this tournament which kept a lot of the contestants home. But 32 hardy souls

and a total of 25 bass including one small mouth were brought to the weigh
in and all released alive and well.

It was a hot, humid, and sticky night, a perfect night for fishing. 34 boats
and 66 anglers came out to test their skills. And it was a test for most,
but a few found the bass a bit more cooperative. It is the first time that
the winners came from our club, Chester County Bass Masters, way to go guys,
you did us proud.

2nd Kenny Seese, Jeff Seese 10.83 pounds

The tourney on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, is a sure indicator that the summer pattern is in and the fishing isn’t easy. A cold front moved through a few days before and although the weather has warmed up since the bass did not seem to notice. There were twenty four boats registered, and 43 anglers participated. Only two three fish limits were brought to the weigh in, and a total of 17 fish were weighed in and released alive and healthy.
1st John Kousisis, Lisa
Fulton 8.19 pounds
2nd Irv Friedlander, Dave Ciarletta 6.01 pounds
3rd Sebastian Musumeci, Phil Litchfield 5.90 pounds

A perfect evening on the water with barely a whisper of a breeze. It should be great night for topwater baits. Well, maybe the bass aren't reading the same magazines I get. Twenty nine boats with 54 anglers spread across the stillness of Marsh Creek in pursuit of ole bucketmouth. Seven three fish limits were brought to the scales and a total of 33 healthy bass were weighed in and released to their watery dwellings.

Another great evening of beautiful Marsh Creek was shared by 29 boats with 59 anglers enjoying the cool summer day. Fishing seems to be getting bit easier but no giant hawgs were brought in to the scales. There were 32 large mouth and 1 smallie weighed in and all released alive and swimming. My fishing partner and I lost two nice ones, but, that is a story for a different time. There are only two more tournaments left for this season, so be there the next two weeks or you will have to wait until next June. The Marsh Creek Bass Club boys are looking strong.

The early evening of the last day of August, 2004, found 24 boats with 45
anglers enjoying a diminishing breeze and a clear night on Marsh Creek. The
feeling before the tourney was optimistic for a lot of big bass to be caught
this evening. That feeling was proven to be inaccurate at best. Only two boats
brought in three fish limits and a total of 22 bass were weighed in and released
alive and well. Let’s hope the weather holds out for a final Tuesday
night tourney of the 2004 season next week.

Thick and threatening clouds kept the turnout for the final Tuesday night
tournament of the 2004 season to only 19 boats and 37 anglers. They were all
rewarded with what had to be one of the most beautiful clear, still and calm
evenings of fishing all year. It was a perfectly beautiful evening, even for
those of us who did not have a live well filled with fat bass.
On behalf of Chester County Bass Masters, I would like to thank everyone for
their support and making this a most successful inaugural season. With luck,
we will get the permits back form the state for next year’s tournaments
long before the first one which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 21, 2005. We
wish all of you a healthy, happy, prosperous, and bassy year.
