Took advantage of the weather and headed down to the North East today with the dog and some fishin poles.
Took the boat too.  Fished from 1 til 5 (dark).
50 degree water was brown and chock full of floaty crap.
Weather was the nicest I've fished in this year.  Flat as a pancake.
As usual, couldn't get bit on a moving bait, but got a few on the slow stuff.
Jig, worm, shakey, senko, and beaver.  Would sort of retire each bait after a fish and force the next bite with a new lure.
Ran all over to get my five bites.  Hauled a lot of water.
First 3 fish were all around 4lbs.
Horseshoe/hand grenade fish would have been my kicker, but wrapped herself up in some metal crap that I'll have to remember is there.
Replaced that one with the real number four fish... smallest of the day so far, but still over 3lbs...
Took a pic of her...

Last fish was going to be on a jig no matter what.  Just wanted that kicker.  Spent way to much time dragging that thing around and then, pop, fish number 5... whuudn't ya know it, measlyest fish of the day comes on the jig?!?!
Might have been 3lbs on a good day, but didn't have any belly on her.

Pulled the boat out right around 5 after over an hour of no more bites.

Bites were few and far between, but woulda had a pretty quality bag had it been a tournament day.
