Chester County Bass Masters held the 2nd of five opens for the season on July 18th out of Anchor Marine in Northeast Maryland.

The title sponsor for the tournament was SERVPRO of Hunt Valley, Md.

25 Teams showed up to search for the Upper Bay's black bass. Changing weather conditions thruout the day had most teams scrambling to find cooperative fish.  The day started humid and overcast, then a few light showers gave way to 20 + winds and bright sun late in the day.

Air temps at launch were around 70, after the windy front blew thru temps went into the upper 80's.

Water temps were in the 79  - 82 degree range depending where you fished, with some off colored water in areas of the Northeast.

Launch was on a falling tide with a low around 6:30 sending teams scrambling to find decent water with most heading down to the Flats looking for fish in the grass.

Fishing was tough for the most part with just 7 limits brought to the scales for the 2:30 weigh in and only 2 bags over 15 pounds.

5 cash places were paid  along with 5 sponsor prizes from Susquehanna Tackle, Browning Eyewear, Cabela's of Christiana Mall, Sunoco, and GRT jigs.

Thanks to everyone who came out to fish, we and our sponsors appreciate the support.

The next Chester County open will be on Saturday, September 12th out of Anchor Marine.
