Title: fireline crystal

anyone try this yet? i bought 2 spools at BPS the other day, ( they were out of stren superbraid in 14# and 20#) figured id try something new. seems to be a bit stiffer then regular braid

Fireline IS stiff, until you get a lot of use on it.  It's also pretty thick diameter line, and you'll probably want to use a flurocarbon leader.  It doesn't tend to loop as does braid, but I find uses for it very limited.  Only rod I have it on is a spinning rod for skipping under trees and docks.  The fireline holds up well if a bass decides to wrap you up around a piling or tree.  It is also, like braid, very noisy through the rod guides.
