What?  You are replacing your Kistler rods?  Why?

I am interested but need you to reduce your price . . .

Is the spinnerbait special the 6'9" MH rod or the 6'6" MH rod?  (I am only interested in the 6'9" rod).

80 bucks for the spinnerbait rod and I think we got a deal subject to my inspection of the rod.  Let me know if you are comfortable with this offer.

Are you going to bequeath your rods to me?

85.01 . . . the extra cent is so you can say that I agreed to pay more than the difference . . . Also, as mentioned in my earlier post, the payment is subject to my inspection of the rod.  Do we now have a deal?

I will leave the money with the wife.  She should be home.

Wifey will only be home from 12 to 1 pm.  I will leave the money with her.  If she is not home, leave the rod and I will put the money under the front doormat.

Question . . . did you purchase this rod before or after the "Eli-door-crunch" incident?

Bruce, do you have the Graphite Plus crankbait composite rod?  If so, are you selling?

I have 3 in the Crankbait Special series with the composite blank, two 7 footers and one 6'-6".  Not selling them as I like them way too much.  As they are being discontinued, I don't know if you will find any, other than possibly the Kistler website - Kistler is offering 30% off on some of their remaining 2008 line of rods, you'll have to check their website for which rods may still be available.

I think they do very well with lipless to medium diving crankbaits.  They do not have enough backbone to throw the deep divers (which I think you WERE looking for), because all the Crankbait special rods are only available in a medium/moderate action.  NO MH which I don't understand.

There are a couple of the Crankbait Special rods arround on eBay, but they are the 100% graphite not the composite blanks.  If you are really looking for the composite blank, I'll keep my eyes open.

For the Kistler Crank Bait Special line watch the model number - the graphite starts KCBS and the composite blank is KCCBS.

Simmons Sporting Goods  has about 75 Kistler's on close out at very good prices.  - NO you do not get a refund.  The phone for Simmons is listed on the link I think, you could call and see if they have any that have not been advertised yet.  I bought several from him a couple weeks ago with FREE SHIPPING, I had my rods in 3 days.  Very good to deal with.  Limited selection as they are being closed out, but the prices are CHEAP and shipping is free.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Yes, the composite blank is what I am looking for.  I have one in the 6'6" size and want another.  Although I generally prefer 7' rods, the 6'6" proved to be the perfect size for running crankbaits up and down the bank on the Delaware.

Well, I'll keep an eye out as they do come up occasionally.  It would appear, from the Kistler website, that the only composite, moderate action rod available for '09 will be in a Magnesium rod.  I'm not fond of the split grip, but you do have a couple including that orange OBAMAnation (that's a joke guys, don't start on me) and I think a Kistler Mag, so you know what that would be like.  Available in two lengths 7'-0" and a  6'-6" at list o$189.  Again the only problem is they are only available in Medium.  Link provided:

TACKLE WAREHOUSE has a couple of the Graphite Plus in a composite rod, 7' only but still at list - $139.
They also have the Mag composite in both 7' & 6'-6" at $179.  For $40 I think the Mag is the better buy.

:undecided:  You didn't trust me on my recommendation of Simmons, huh?  I'm everywhere.
