He didn't look too good yesterday, with the exception of the nice drive that ended with the INT. But what does everyone really expect? Before anyone's out there saying "I don't like what I see in Kolb," I want to remind you of a little something:
106 completions, 216 attempts (49.1%), 8 TD, 7 INT, 6 fumbles lost, and a QB rating of 60.1--with 28 sacks against.
That was Donovan's stat line in his first (partial) season as starting QB in '99.
Get ready for more of the same. It's the natural order. Guys like Flacco and Ryan are aberrations--young QBs protected by solid ground games (ATL 2nd in the NFL, BAL 4th) who aren't being asked to do too much.
Kevin Kolb right now is being asked to be THE MAN, and in an offense that to this point has been 61/39 pass to run (only the Arizona Cardinals have attempted more passes than the Eagles, and the Eagles offense is the most unbalanced in the NFL), we're going to see growing pains.
Remember, the problem here isn't/wasn't JUST the QB. Even with Kolb in, the Eagles ran only 9 running plays in the second half--that included the Wildcat run by DeSean Jackson. 27 pass plays to 9 run plays. Does anyone expect anything out of Kolb with that gameplan? Against the RAVENS??
If the offense changed, McNabb would be a better option than Kolb. The offense is what sucks, and McNabb tryign to make ti work is making him suck worse.

How about missing arguably the best guard in the game, Pro Bowler Shawn Andrews. How about Westbrook should not even be on the field these past 2 - 3 games, broken ribs, sprained ankle and swollen knee, He is playing at about 50 %..
Westbrook was a top 2-3 back , but missing one of the best run blocking guards in the game and trying to play with those type injuries is not going to produce in the NFL. Reid...likes to pass, but without these 2 guys He has been forced into ridiculous play calling which is putting the burden of production on McNabbs shoulders,. If you have watched every Iggles game over the past few years you would know that McNabb is not the player He was, his success came with him having the ability to run, to scramble out of the pocket and always being a threat to break off a 20 yard run..........that threat is not there any more.
McNabb has always been an average throwing QB. His Int/TD stats always look great because He always waited for the safe throw, He was never a timing QB on his throws like great QB's are.
Now that the threat of him running is almost gone, being forced into a pocket passer and never being a timing passer, his int rate is going way up. Steady accuracy was never his strength.
He might still have a few decent years left, but not in Philly, He needs to be on a team were He is not the focal point, not being asked to create plays.
Really a shame He could not stay healthy in Philly, lot of incomplete seasons due to injuries cost them a few more trips to the Super Bowl.
Hopefully He gets traded to a team with a great running game.......we'll see...IF He does not start for Philly in Thursdays Thanksgiving day game against Arizona, the McNabb era in Philly will officially be over.
The fact is the offense is not going to change under Reid. Kolb is a better pure passer than McNabb. That doesn't mean he will translate into a better quarterback, just that he's a better pure thrower. So is AJ Feeley, but he doesn't make good decisions. Of course lately, McNabb hasn't been either. But let's face it, TO would be SO much better on this offense, and Jackson would be better with TO here. I don't think Jackson is big enough to ever be that good.

TO made a difference, but we are talking about arguably the 2nd best receiver ever to play the game behind Rice.
Jackson is a playmaker, they just have to try and keep him healthy...He's not going to take the abuse Westbrook does as an every down Back, but He does have the speed and quick cutback ability to make big plays...something that has been missing since TO left.....All Reid has to do is design plays to get the ball in his hands in the open field.....
theres only one problem with the birds. here it is. every team that is worth something has a player that has to be double teamed. therefore leaving a second option for the QB to goto. When t.o. was on the team if he wasnt making a play, he was taking two or three players out of the play. what does that give you? less pressure on the outside for a screen to westbrook, a slant to curtis in the middle a draw play to westbrook...........etc....etc.. we have none of that and until we do, we will suk till we get a star player which would be mcnaab if he could still scramble, but he doesnt and thats are problem. nothing else. well maybe a few other things.
by having joined this club, i think i stand to learn more about nfl football than i do bass fishing.

Jackson will be a playmaker......you can't teach speed and instincts He has......
both of them are to small, you said it yourself need a blocking back.

Look at Westbrooks stats over the past few years......almost any team in the league would pay to have him in the backfield.
Don't confuse small with talent.
