ryan, we all know your a fan of the dt cranks.
and yes, even after breaking a couple of these last year, i still ordered a few.
I could always use some more DTs. Unfortunately, I just picked my boat up (had it serviced for the Spring). Dropped 300.00. Now I am tapped.
$300  You shoud prosecute them for robbery. What the heck did they do? It's a new boat, it should not have needed very much. I think you have a 4 cycle, so and oil change and WHAT?
Or did you have the DENTS POUNDED OUT ALSO?
New transducer, new tailight for trailer, oil change
No dents
I would have did them all 150  That suks when you have to spend that change on that crap. you could have bought a new rod and reel with that. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH Boats, I just dropped mine off to drop a 1,000.00. I feel ya.
Although I spent 300.00 on the boat, I still broke even. I had two broken BPS rods in my basement that I returned to Bass Pro Shops when I dropped the boat off in Harrisburg. They gave me 279.00 in store credit. I bought some odds and ends and some stuff for the boat. The remaining 100 bucks in credit I traded for a Kistler rod. Not too shabby.
How broken and old were they? I have a 3-4 year old Bionic blade who's cork handle is broken off at the base...
One of the rods (the Extreme) was three years old. The other was one year old.
Tips broken? Guides? Seat?
The ceramic eye had fallen out of the first guide. The other rod was just broken (I lost about 12 inches off the tip of the blank).
Note: I hope you aren't planning on forwarding our communications to BPS.
No, im just thinking about trying to 'return' or exchange the blade with the busted up handle...
Already e-mailed them with the link.
Dan,
If you take a trip to Harrisburg BPS, I guarantee they will return the rod. At the very least, they will give you a new one. If you make some noise, they may even go as far as to give you store credit.
If you go up on the second floor and buy a gun, you can probably have them empty a few cash registers on the way out.
Bruce,
Your gun comment cracked me up. :14:
Sweet - I'll have to try that out.
