Title: Disney and Kissamee (Toho)
Post by: Wishing2BFishing on July 10, 2009, 10:25:53 PM
I am reluctantly going to Disney.  This is not the vacation I want so when i agreed to this ridiculous vacation, I told the wife that it is contingent on me doing some Florida bass fishing.  When I called the Disney resort to schedule a guided trip, the offered a pontoon boat and a guide for 250.00 an hour.  This was not acceptable so I did some research and learned that Kissammee and Toho are very close to Orlando.  I also learned that there a several guided bass trips available for substantially less than the Disney situation.  However, many of the guides fish with bait. I want to fish with lures.  Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

If so, I think he likes crankbaits.

He meant chigger  ............Dude fish with the bait, you will catch the biggest bass of your life probably.    The guides at Toho Appearantly know what they are doing because my neighbor did it and caught several over 6LBS. They use 8 - 12" Shiners.

Talk to Paul Wiley.  He went down at least once, and used lures for a while, not catching anything.  Then he agreed to use bait and caught some huge bass.

I would use the shiners, at least some of the time.  Why not?  Even Roland Martin uses shiners to catch the big ones on his show.
