Google now offers a new directory assistance (411) service in the U.S. and Canada called GOOG-411 that is free, fast and easy to use. Just dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411), and then speak the name of the city and the business or person that you're looking for. The service is voice activated, and you can access it from a mobile or land line 24 hours a day. Please note that carrier standard text messaging rates will be applied if you choose to have the information sent to you in a text message.
By using this service, you can have access to the directory assistance you need, and can achieve significant savings on directory assistance charges incurred on company-owned mobile devices. These calls typically run $1.25 each or more.
