GO here to Bass Cats Facebook page.

This link takes you to the photo page  on how they built the design molds and prototype....takes about a year from start to finish.

I am going to venture a guess, knowing how Rick Pierce designs Bass Cats to be functional, that " scoop " is going to be the fresh air intake for the bilge area.....and it might also be removable to make running any new transducer wires more accessible along the inside gunnells.

if you look at the prototype pictures on the FB page, they show that removed and it looks like theres a 3/4" diamter PVC pipe running under there.  Check out the FB pictures.

All Bass Cats have their wiring run the length of the boat thru  PVC piping to keep the wires protected.

If you watch any of the BASS TX's on ESPN you would know that his rig will need a VERY GOOD cleaning before anyone buys it....

so, he gets the boat with sponsors etc. so he probably pays nothing for it and then sells it at the end?  good deal if you can get it.

They get the boats on a Memo deal.   They agree to pay  XXXXX  amount, a real hefty discount, but do not have to pay for it till the end of the year........anything they get over what they agree to pay , they keep as profit.

Only a handful of the top guys like Iaconnelli , Reese, etc actually get these boats really cheap, or Free.  The average sponsored " Pro ' is getting about 30 % off what you would pay with your best deal.
