I'm sorry but I would not fish a bass tourney that allows both live and artificial baits.... but then again I don't fish  tourneys anymore anyway....

Why would you not want to fish if they are allowing live bait? Just asking because I really don't understand the whole fishing with or without. All I really know is artificial...

Bass will swallow live bait almost instantly so when you set the hook you'll be hooking them in the gullet which will almost always end up in killing the fish.

Fishing with artificials, most bass will spit the artificial once they feel/taste it is not live.

Hooksets on artificials usually end up in the upper jaw, which will not kill the fish, and if properly handled in the live well and released will be able to be caught again on another trip.

Oh ok... thanks for helping me understand... and I agree that it is not a good idea cause I would hate to see a bunch of bass not being released. We fished a tournament a couple of weeks ago down there and it was all artificial I don't know why he is allowing live bait this time. He just asked if we would post it for him so I did. I have nothing to do with the tournament.
