Title: Back up Camera
Post by: Eli on July 31, 2016, 02:50:12 PM
Shopping for a backup camera to put on the back of the Trailer, Boat or motor.  For backing up when putting the boat away.  Prefer one to view on my iPhone instead of a separate viewer.  Also prefer water proof that can be a permanent install instead of having to put it on when needed.  Ideas?

Possiblities, so far...

1. Go Pro - Expensive solution since I have no interest of using one otherwise, but people using them do turn them around for the added use.

2. Pyle Audio - http://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PLCM34WIR/Wireless-Rear-View-Backup-Camera-and-Monitor-ParkingReverse-Assist-System,-35-Display-Screen,-Distance-Scale-Lines,-Night-Vision-Waterproof-Cam,-Swivel-Angle-Adjustable

3. iBall Hitch Cam - http://www.iballhitchcam.com/?CAWELAID=120132530000000391&CAPCID=103882177409&cadevice=c&gclid=CjwKEAjww_a8BRDB-O-OqZb_vRASJAA9yrc5rD9VuqWkgTJe6bRO5_q4Kn11Xs8ZtwYwTXeveDVlVxoCnQjw_wcB

Why not upgrade the radio in your car and hook it to that?

I plan to soon upgrade the car.  It has the backup camera in the mirror for the back of the truck.  I picked the phone for the viewer because it is already mounted there.  Need something that will have a wireless range of ~45 feet...
