Title: Chester County Open # 2 Results from June 15th

Chester County Bass Masters held their 2nd of five Points Opens for the 2024 season on June 15th out of Anchor Marine in Northeast Maryland.

73 Teams showed up on a summer like Saturday with waxing 1/2 Moon in search of a 5 fish limit of Upper Bay black bass.

Water temps were in the 74- 80 range depending on where you fished.
The weather has been stable over the past week with sunshine and very little rain allowing the Bay to clear up and the bass to move into summer patterns.

Air temps at launch were around 64 with light breeze, wind picked up to 10 - 15 mid morning. The tournament launched at 5:30 under partly cloudy skies with a forecast high of 85.
Launch was on incoming tide with high around 6:15 am. Low tide was 1:05 pm.

8 flights went out with the first flight due back at 2:30 and each additional flight of 10 boats due back ten minutes apart.

50 five fish limits were brought in.
 4 teams had 4 fish
17 bass over 4 pounds were weighed in.
16 bass over 5 pounds were weighed in.
 2 bass over 6 pounds were weighed in.

8 cash places were paid, along with 20 sponsor prizes from Henlopen Bait and Tackle, Susquehanna Tackle, Dobyns Rods, Epic Eric's Bass Lab, Bass University, Steak & Main Restaurant, Eastern Marine of Newark, Nichols Lures, Cabelas - Pauls Plastering, Harmony Fishing Tackle, Bass Pro Shops, Boomerang Tools, Hayabusa Hooks, Reins, Native Tungsten Weights, Bass Cat, Simms, Trailer Parts Superstore of Newark, Buck Brook Alpacas, Vexan, Accu Cull, and JB Jigz.

40 boats participated in $ 60 option pot which paid 3 spots.

The top 3 teams were all in the in the Option pot adding more cash to their winnings .
The winning boat is eligible for the Power Pole Captains Cash contingency cash if they are signed up for those programs.

They are also eligible for any of the 8 Boat Manufacturer Contingency programs CCBM Opens offer if they are signed up for their boats program. Cash from $ 1,000 to 8,000 from some Manufacturers.

First place cash payout and championship plaques went to Tom Bavaro and Brian Dyson who won by 2.01 pounds over the second place team.
Last years CCBM Open Series Points Champions are back on their game again and looking to take the top spot again this season !
The pair found the right bites to bring in a 5 fish limit of 23.88 Lbs to take home the win and a really nice payout.
The Team also took home additional $$$$$ by entering the $ 60 Option Pot and taking first place cash there.
They are registered with Bass Cat and will also receive $ 500 in Quest Contingency Cash from Bass Cat.
Along with the cash, the team also received a package from Dobyns Rods !

Second place cash went to Duke Nave and Andrew Heivly . The team put together an outstanding 5 fish limit for this day weighing in at 21.87 Lbs.
The pair also entered the Option Pot taking home the $$$$ for 2nd place from that voluntary pot.

Third place money was won by Mike Phillips and Pablo Velazquez who brought a 5 fish limit to the scales that topped out at 21.80 Lbs. putting some nice cash in their pockets.
The pair also entered the Option Pot taking home the $$$$ for 3rd place from that voluntary pot.
The pair weighed in a 6.14 Upper Bay Hog to take home the Susquehanna Fishing Tackle 2nd Lunker for the tournament earning them a $ 100 SFT gift card.
