RULES:
1 - 5 fish limit per boat. Largemouth or Smallmouth. 12 inches ( short fish brought to scales will result in loss of biggest fish )
2 - 8-ounce penalty per dead fish - does not reduce Lunker weight
3 - Artificial lures only. No live bait
4 - All 2024 Maryland fishing and boating laws will apply
5 - All boats must be equipped with a factory installed operational aerated live well (10 gal min.)
6 - All boats must have all safety equipment available
7 - All boats must be inspected before launching
8 - No alcohol or illegal drugs permitted
9 - A 1 lb. per minute penalty will be assessed for late return, up to 15 minutes. After 15 you are
disqualified. Late penalty is also applied to Lunker weight
10 - Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in a disqualification
11 - Please keep a courtesy distance from other boats
12 - Trolling as a means of fishing is prohibited
13 - In the event of a tie, the most-alive fish wins. If still a tie, the largest fish wins
14 - The decision of the Tournament Director is final
15 - There will be no fishing after your boat number is turned in.
16 - It is up to you to have liability insurance coverage on your boat
17 - Solo entries are allowed
18 - Ramp fee is responsibility of the boater.
19 - Life vests must be worn when gas motor is running and kill switch attached when boat is in gear.
20 - Weigh bags will be provided for contestants to use.
21 - Off Limits :
Inside the diagonal line from the fixed fishing pier at the town park to the east ( Blue house ) side of the first canal on the left as you leave the marina, this includes the entire Anchor Marina basin and Nauti Goose docks.

CCBM & Local Open Tournaments Info / July 14th CCBM Open moves to O...
Last post by Basscat7 - June 26, 2024, 05:25:22 PMDNR has asked that we try to reschedule any Opens when the water temps on the Bay get into the high 80's.
With water temps on the Upper Bay at 85 degrees already and the 10 day Weather forecast for air temps in high 80's to low 90's, the water temps are sure to rise, pushing towards 90 degrees.
Rather than risk having a lot of dead bass at weigh in or delayed mortality in the river in the days following, we will defer and reschedule this Open into the Fall, to be held on Saturday, October 12th.
As much as we would like to hold this Open now, care of our resources is also a major concern.

CCBM & Local Open Tournaments Info / Chester County Open # 2 Result...
Last post by Basscat7 - June 16, 2024, 10:41:25 PMChester County Bass Masters held their 2nd of five Points Opens for the 2024 season on June 15th out of Anchor Marine in Northeast Maryland.
73 Teams showed up on a summer like Saturday with waxing 1/2 Moon in search of a 5 fish limit of Upper Bay black bass.
Water temps were in the 74- 80 range depending on where you fished.
The weather has been stable over the past week with sunshine and very little rain allowing the Bay to clear up and the bass to move into summer patterns.
Air temps at launch were around 64 with light breeze, wind picked up to 10 - 15 mid morning. The tournament launched at 5:30 under partly cloudy skies with a forecast high of 85.
Launch was on incoming tide with high around 6:15 am. Low tide was 1:05 pm.
8 flights went out with the first flight due back at 2:30 and each additional flight of 10 boats due back ten minutes apart.

50 five fish limits were brought in.
4 teams had 4 fish
17 bass over 4 pounds were weighed in.
16 bass over 5 pounds were weighed in.
2 bass over 6 pounds were weighed in.

The top 3 teams were all in the in the Option pot adding more cash to their winnings .

They are also eligible for any of the 8 Boat Manufacturer Contingency programs CCBM Opens offer if they are signed up for their boats program. Cash from $ 1,000 to 8,000 from some Manufacturers.

First place cash payout and championship plaques went to Tom Bavaro and Brian Dyson who won by 2.01 pounds over the second place team.
Last years CCBM Open Series Points Champions are back on their game again and looking to take the top spot again this season !
The pair found the right bites to bring in a 5 fish limit of 23.88 Lbs to take home the win and a really nice payout.
The Team also took home additional $$$$$ by entering the $ 60 Option Pot and taking first place cash there.
They are registered with Bass Cat and will also receive $ 500 in Quest Contingency Cash from Bass Cat.

73 Teams showed up on a summer like Saturday with waxing 1/2 Moon in search of a 5 fish limit of Upper Bay black bass.
Water temps were in the 74- 80 range depending on where you fished.
The weather has been stable over the past week with sunshine and very little rain allowing the Bay to clear up and the bass to move into summer patterns.
Air temps at launch were around 64 with light breeze, wind picked up to 10 - 15 mid morning. The tournament launched at 5:30 under partly cloudy skies with a forecast high of 85.
Launch was on incoming tide with high around 6:15 am. Low tide was 1:05 pm.
8 flights went out with the first flight due back at 2:30 and each additional flight of 10 boats due back ten minutes apart.

17 bass over 4 pounds were weighed in.
16 bass over 5 pounds were weighed in.
2 bass over 6 pounds were weighed in.

RULES:
1 - 5 fish limit per boat. Largemouth or Smallmouth. 15 inches ( short fish brought to scales will result in loss of biggest fish )
2 - 8-ounce penalty per dead fish - does not reduce Lunker weight
3 - Artificial lures only. No live bait
4 - All 2024 Maryland fishing and boating laws will apply
5 - All boats must be equipped with a factory installed operational aerated live well (10 gal min.)
6 - All boats must have all safety equipment available
7 - All boats must be inspected before launching
8 - No alcohol or illegal drugs permitted
9 - A 1 lb. per minute penalty will be assessed for late return, up to 15 minutes. After 15 you are
disqualified. Late penalty is also applied to Lunker weight
10 - Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in a disqualification
11 - Please keep a courtesy distance from other boats
12 - Trolling as a means of fishing is prohibited
13 - In the event of a tie, the most-alive fish wins. If still a tie, the largest fish wins
14 - The decision of the Tournament Director is final
15 - There will be no fishing after your boat number is turned in.
16 - It is up to you to have liability insurance coverage on your boat
17 - Solo entries are allowed
18 - Ramp fee is responsibility of the boater.
19 - Life vests must be worn when gas motor is running and kill switch attached when boat is in gear.
20 - Weigh bags will be provided for contestants to use.
21 - Off Limits :
Inside the diagonal line from the fixed fishing pier at the town park to the east ( Blue house ) side of the first canal on the left as you leave the marina, this includes the entire Anchor Marina basin and Nauti Goose docks.

RULES:
1 - 5 fish limit per boat. Largemouth or Smallmouth. 15 inches ( short fish brought to scales will result in loss of biggest fish )
2 - 8-ounce penalty per dead fish - does not reduce Lunker weight
3 - Artificial lures only. No live bait
4 - All 2024 Maryland fishing and boating laws will apply
5 - All boats must be equipped with a factory installed operational aerated live well (10 gal min.)
6 - All boats must have all safety equipment available
7 - All boats must be inspected before launching
8 - No alcohol or illegal drugs permitted
9 - A 1 lb. per minute penalty will be assessed for late return, up to 15 minutes. After 15 you are
disqualified. Late penalty is also applied to Lunker weight
10 - Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in a disqualification
11 - Please keep a courtesy distance from other boats
12 - Trolling as a means of fishing is prohibited
13 - In the event of a tie, the most-alive fish wins. If still a tie, the largest fish wins
14 - The decision of the Tournament Director is final
15 - There will be no fishing after your boat number is turned in.
16 - It is up to you to have liability insurance coverage on your boat
17 - Solo entries are allowed
18 - Ramp fee is responsibility of the boater.
19 - Life vests must be worn when gas motor is running and kill switch attached when boat is in gear.
20 - Weigh bags will be provided for contestants to use.
21 - Off Limits :
Inside the diagonal line from the fixed fishing pier at the town park to the east ( Blue house ) side of the first canal on the left as you leave the marina, this includes the entire Anchor Marina basin and Nauti Goose docks.

Online registration will end at 6 Friday night.

$ 120 Cash at the Ramp in morning.
$ 60 Option Pot.
We want all boats back to weigh in the same condition they went out so be alert while running to your spots.
Use the envelopes at the ramp to pay the ramp fee.
For those going into Northeast Creek, the creek is a no wake zone.
No piercing cull clips are allowed in tournaments. Only clip on style allowed to be used.
We'll be at the ramp @ 4:00 to start registration.
Make sure you come up and check in to receive your boat number slip.
Your Launch Flight and and weigh in time are on the Slip. You need your boat number to check in at the end of the TX.
You must use Our bags to weigh in.
At 2:30 The TX check in boat will be sitting outside the first cut.
You must verbally check in with them before the time on your boat number slip is up. Give them your boat number and the number of fish you will be weighing in.
Ten ( 10 ) $ 50 to $ 100 Sponsor prizes will be given out to the first 10 teams out of the money.

There are 77 players who recorded a hit in their only at bat.
12 of those were doubles. 4 were triples.
38 players recorded a walk in their only at bat. (Including Eddie Gaedel)
Six had just one plate appearance and were hit by a pitch.
Finally 22 players laid down a sacrifice bunt or other runner advancing grounder in their only at bat.

CCBM & Local Open Tournaments Info / Re: CCBM Upper Bay Open # 1 Ap...
Last post by Basscat7 - April 11, 2024, 06:46:06 PMUnfortunately the CCBM Upper Bay Open for Saturday April 13th is going to be postponed and Rescheduled due to a Gale Warning issued by the National Weather Service today for the Upper Bay starting Friday and continuing thru Saturday evening.
Combine the high winds with all the debris floating in the Upper Bay from last weeks torrential rains, and Conowingo having to open 17 spill gates, it would be too dangerous to send anyone out.
Winds Saturday on the Upper Bay are forecast to be sustained 20 to 30 MPH with gusts up to 47 mph.
Rain is also on the agenda Friday thru Saturday with over an inch forecast,.
Safety of all of our contestants dictates that we cannot send boats out in this type of conditions.
We all know the actual Bay winds are generally higher than the Land forecast and no one wants to be on the water with 46+ winds.
We will reschedule this Open for later in the year as we will still have our 5 Points Opens needed to determine the CCBM Open Championship standings and the Teams that will qualify to fish the Bassmaster Team Championship TX with a chance to make the 2025 Bass Master Classic.
The next CCBM Open is May 25th.
If you already paid for the April 13th Open, you can leave that payment in, and Register for launch number for the May 25th Open when that Registration Post is put on the board in a week or so.

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe conditions.
