Slot Limit Update

According to Steve Chaconas, one of my fellow Black Bass Advisory Subcommittee members, last night


"the MD Sport Fish Advisory Commission decided to 'table' the Black Bass Advisory Subcommittee recommendation to create a slot limit...June 16-March 1 with 4 fish 12-15 inches and only 1 fish over 15 inches...for more discussion for their January meeting. They felt the composition of the board was suspect and the magnitude of the regulation did not match up with differing VA and MD fish surveys. This means that, for now, there will be no new REGULATION on the Potomac and Upper Bay. HOWEVER, MD can still attach restrictions pursuant to obtaining a tournament permit. Events launched out of VA will not be affected. "


I'll keep you posted on what MD DNR decides to do about the tournament permit restrictions.
