For those who didn't know, I am a Raiders fan.  Generally, I am relatively quiet about the Raiders, especially since I do not think much of Jamarcus Russell.  But I have to ask . . . .

What happened to the Eagles today?

Hmm alot happened to them actually.  Every single phase of the game was off and on all day.  A lot of terrible terrible play every where.  Mental mistakes to boot.  Plus a REALLY shitty job by the refs.  At least two intentional groundings should have been called on Jamarcus, and then you had the Eagles last play that Jackson was hit before the ball got there, shoulda been PI on the Raiders...

I agree that the officiating was absolute rubbish today, but the Eagles did not make adjustments.  Their ground game got about 6 yards per carry with Westbrook getting about 8.  Why didn't they run more to shut down the pass rush and blitz from the Raiders?  This game was a loss by Reid first and foremost.

It pays to be an optimist.  Even if you are wrong, you are happy about it.

McNubbs did it again - called a TIME OUT......................... when he didn't have any.  Was pretty funny, and sad at the same time, seeing Westbrook waving his arms, trying to get D's attention - seemed no one was able to get his attention today.  Reid should have sat him down after that.  What is it with him and the brain fart?  He wasn't doing anything right, Akers missed two he would usually make, the team wasn't doing anything right, and Reid - he needs to shake things up, not waiting for the same ole, same ole to kick in.  More injuries - something they really don't need.

This was supposed to be an easy win -  but the Raiders looked ready to play, especially the defense - they seemed to remember what BLITZ is - doubled the Eagles' season QB sack total.  As bad as McNumbnutz was, it wasn't all his fault, very difficult to pass when you have NO RUNNING GAME to offset the passing game.  He did have a couple nice passes, but McNubbs only consistnacy is his inconsistnacy.  After last week - he looked good, but he can never put his game together in any consistant manner.  Only thing he didn't have were interceptions, but it isn't hard to avoid interceptions when your passes are in the dirt or 20 yards overthrown.  If he'd gotten passes more within reach of his intended receiver, well there may have been an interception or two.  Bottom line - it's typical Eagles football.  Heartbreaking, disgusting, and I don't beleive the season will get any better.

Now the Phillies on the other hand - another EXPLOSIVE performance tonight.

They had a great running game.   They just didn't use it.
