Results for the Chester County Bass Masters April 20th Open on the Northeast River out of Anchor Marine.

Windy forecasts and a severe cold front Friday night that dumped an inch of rain over the Upper Bay kept a few boats home. The morning was cold and damp, more like early March instead of late April but the threat of high winds and muddy water didn't stop 11 teams from plying the Upper bay in search of the big bass.

The top team of Don White and Ralph Kappenstein  found the big females, bringing in the winning sack of 5 largemouth for a nice post front bag of 23.06 pounds.

The pair also had the big fish of the day with a money winning 6.10 Lunker.

Second place was the team of Jim Valdez and Nate Cowan with a nice 5 fish limit of 17.20 lbs.

Third place went to a team of Kerry and Kyle Serduk bringing 4 bass to the scales totaling 14.56 lbs, with a 5.05 largemouth anchoring the bag.

The fourth place team of Dave Wilt and Brian Setlak only had 3 fish but all quality bass weighing 14.16 with a 5.26 big fish for their day.

Fifth place Jerry Gerlach and Lou Croce with 3 bass for 10.59 lbs.

Thanks to all who came out in the tough conditions.

Next Open will be Saturday May 25th  on the Northeast River out of Anchor Marine.
