I love Oneida too.  Perhaps the coolest thing was those smallmouth slamming topwater baits in 15 feet of water.  Every time a smallie hit my lure, it was an instant high.  I need some more of the topwater drug.

Hey Brucie, remember those gas prices.

Aluminum with a 150.  Uses less gas, still gets over 40mph.  Works well in rough water too.

I passed a guy with a Ranger with a 200 on the back on Saturday and impressed a couple of my riders with the stability of the ride.

oh, and weighed 15 fish too.

Dave, passing a Ranger doesn't mean much........  :grin: Well that's what I hear anyway, I like Ranger boats and I've seen a couple that move along very smartly, so I really don't understand why they are referred to as "slow".

As for you impressing your co's with the ride of your boat, I am not the least surprised.  Crestliner makes a wide stable craft and at 18' with those high sides it should handle the water extremely well.  While 40 MPH is fun..................... 70 IS FUNNER.  :grin: :grin:

If I ever own another boat it will likely be an   alum. Walleye style, like a Crestliner or Lund, around 19' with a max outboard and t/m.  I really don't have the need for a big 'glass boat anymore.   If I can get my wife to move south, I may go back to saltwater fishing, that would mean something around 28' - 32' with twins.
