fishing line.

went to doylestown and the guy pulled the props on both of them and showed me what happens. line pushes back the seals and water gets in and fried the bushings and such.

so pull your props when get out of the water, trust me.

well thats shitty!  how bad was the damage?

motor (lower part) has to be replaced and the shaft that connects to it. said it should be about 140 a piece. hes gunna call me when he gets the price

You would think the engineers would design for this.  I do check my props for line often.  Also check your big motor prop...

ok, 230 a piece for him to do. im having him do one, then im gunna get the piece and try to fix the other by my self for cheaper.

You should have been able to feel the prop slowing down with the line wrapped on the shaft, causes resistance and feels like speed is not where it should be, or the battery is getting low.

Did you feel any difference in speed/torque with either motor prior to them stopping ?

yes i did, but i figured it was a battery issue. never knew about how much damage some fishing line could cause.
