Chester County Bass Masters held their second of five opens for the season on May 31st out of Anchor Marine in Northeast Maryland.
The title sponsor for the tournament was SERVPRO of Hunt Valley, Maryland http://www.servprohuntvalleylutherville.com/.

25 Teams showed up on a beautiful last day of May to search for some of the prodigious Upper Bay largemouths.
Morning air temps around 58 rose to the high 70's later in the day with clear skies and a light breeze giving way to a steady 15+ wind with some cloud cover by mid morning/noon.
Water temps were in the 67 - 70 degree range depending where you fished, with off colored water in the Northeast turning muddy with the tide changes.
Launching on almost a dead low tide sent teams scrambling to find decent waters with most heading down to the Flats looking for some big females.
The bass were scattered but 11 limits were brought to the scales for the 2:30 weigh in, including 2 bags over 20 pounds and 10 bags over 15 pounds with 3 bass over 5 pounds weighed in.

5 cash places were paid, along with 2 sponsor gift cards from Tackle Depot and Sunoco.

First place cash and Big Fish money went to the team of Ben Werbos and Chris Savidge bringing in a healthy 5 fish limit of 21.74 pounds anchored with the tournament lunker, a magnificent 6.04 fat girl.

Second place prize money went to the team of Ron Lutz and Justin Harant, the youngest competitor in the tournament, who brought in a tremendous 5 fish limit weighing in at 20.02 pounds.

Third place cash went to the team of Wayne and Nate Golla weighing in an impressive 5 fish limit of 18.87 pounds secured by a strapping 5.93 fatty just missing lunker money.

Fourth place monies went to the team of Darrell Ellis and Corey Ellis who brought a 5 fish limit of 17.25 pounds to the scale.

Fifth place cash went to the team Sean Geerlof and Stan Horne weighing in a 5 bass limit of 17.08 pounds.

6th place paid a $ 50.00 gift card to Tackle Depot in Malvern, Pa. and went to the team of Kyle and Kerry Serduk with a  limit of bass weighing 16.33 pounds
7th place $ 25.00 Sunoco gas Card went to the team of Baker and Conway with a weight of 16.13 pounds.
