Chester County Bass Masters held their 2nd of five opens for the 2018 season on June 9th out of Anchor Marine in Northeast Maryland.

51 Teams showed up to fish an overcast late spring Saturday in search of a 5 fish limit of Upper Bay black bass.  The largemouth were mostly post spawn with some spawners still out there with the late spring we've had.

Air temps at launch were around 65 with little wind. The tournament launched at 5:30 under cloudy skies with a forecast high of 82. Humidity was high making it feel like a mid August day with very little breeze.  The day stayed hot and humid until the skies opened up around 1:45 and dumped heavy rain for about an hour.

Water temps were in the 70 - 76 degree range depending on where you fished. Water was off colored from recent rains and a little muddy in some areas from runoff.
Launch was on incoming tide with high around 7:45.

Two flights went out with the first flight due back at 2:30 and second flight at 2:45.

17 five fish limits were brought in with 6 other teams having 4 fish. 21 double digit weights were brought to the scales.
