Chester County Bass Masters held their 3rd of five opens for the 2021 season on June 12th out of Anchor Marine in Northeast Maryland.

97 Teams showed up on a late spring Saturday in search of a 5 fish limit of Upper Bay black bass.

Fluctuating weather and heavy rains the days leading up to the TX dropped water temps 5 - 7 degrees from the previous week.
The field was full of some the best Upper Chesapeake Bay fisherman the 5 state area has to offer.

Air temps at launch were around 60 with little breeze. The tournament launched at 5:45 under cloudy skies with a forecast high of 79.

Winds picked up in the afternoon to the normal 10 - 15 with the cloud cover increasing;
Water color on Northeast was muddy but the Flats were clear.

Launch was on a falling tide with low at 6:00 and high at 12:30

Ten flights went out with the first flight due back at 2:30 and each additional flight of 10 boats due back ten minutes apart.

The bass were eating as  67 of the 97 teams weighed in 5 fish limits of 15 inch bass, another 5 teams had 4 fish.
67 five fish limits were brought in.
41 weights over 15 lbs. were brought to the scales.
16 bass over 4 pounds were weighed in.
9 bass over 5 pounds were weighed in.
2 bass over 6 pounds were weighed in.

10 cash places were paid, along with 20 sponsor prizes from Susquehanna Tackle, Rhino linings of Delaware, Dobyns Rods, Zee Bait Company, Steak & Main Restaurant, Eastern Marine of Newark, Nichols Lures, 13 Fishing, Cabelas, Buff USA, Cal Coast Fishing, Harmony Fishing Tackle, Bass Pro Shops, Boomerang Tools, Smallmouth Crush, Hayabusa Hooks, Native Tungsten Weights, Hi Seas Line, Bass Cat, Simms, Venom Lures, Trailer Parts Superstore of Newark, Catch Commander Scales and Black Rifle Coffee Company.

50 boats participated in $ 60 option pot which paid 3 spots.

The winning boat is eligible for the Power Pole Captains Cash and the T & H Marine contingency cash if they are signed up for those programs.

CCBM Open # 1 and # 2 Winners will collect over $ 500 extra from the Contingency Programs Sponsors.

$ 10,955 total in cash was paid along with $ 1,900 in sponsor prizes.

First place cash payout and championship plaques went to Mike Sentore and Sean McKee
Mike and Sean are looking to win their 2nd CCBM Series Points Championship having also won the title in 2016. They have a good start with this win and a 21st and 23rd in the previous 2 Opens.
The pair found the right bites to bring in a 5 fish limit of 21.69 Lbs to take home the win and a really nice payout over $ 2200.
Their big fish weighed in at 4.89 Lbs.

The Team also took home an additional $ 1800 by entering the $ 60 Option Pot and taking first place cash there.

Along with the cash, the team also received a nice package of products from Dobyns Rods !

Second place cash went to Keith Cowan and Vince Melfi. The team put together an outstanding 5 fish limit weighing in at 20.92 Lbs only 13 ounces off the lead earning them over $1300.
Included in their bag was a 6.09 Lb. Upper Bay fattie that was the Susquehanna Fishing Tackle 2nd Lunker for the tournament, winning them $ 100 card from SFT.
Team Cowan was the 2017 CCBM Open Points champs and looking to win a 2nd title with a 2nd and 10th place this year already.
The pair also entered the $ 60 Option Pot, taking home $ 900 for 2nd place cash from that voluntary pot.
Along with the cash, the team also received a nice package of products from Dobyns Rods !

Third place money was won by Vincent Pustizzi and Jordan Sypeck who brought a 5 fish limit to the scales that topped out at 20.62 Lbs.putting over a grand in their pockets
Their bag was anchored by the tournaments 3rd lunker which pushed the scales to 5.89 pounds earning them a $ 75 bag of Black Rifle Coffee.
The team also entered the $ 60 Option Pot, taking home  $ 300 for 3rd place cash from that voluntary pot.
Along with the cash, the team also received a nice package of products from Dobyns Rods !

Fourth place dough  of $ 660 was earned by Chris Price and Jeff Semans weighing in a 5 fish bag for 19.92 Lbs. Their big fish was 4.61 Lbs.
Along with the cash they also received a nice package of products from Black Rifle Coffee !

Fifth place coin of $ 580 went to the team of Mike Piccolo and Steve Bohn who weighed in a nice 5 fish limit of 19.85 Lbs. Great work on the day.
Their big fish was 5.07 Lbs.

Sixth place cash of  $ 375 was collected by Herb Weichman who brought 5 fish to the scales for 19.46 Lbs.
Herb's bag was anchored by the tournaments 3rd lunker which pushed the scales to 5.89 pounds earning him a $ 75 bag of Black Rifle Coffee.
With this 6th and a previous 12th place He'll be in the hunt for  the 2021 title.

Seventh place money of $ 270 was snagged by the team of Rick Ungahm and Rob Steiner with a 5 fish limit weighing 19.12 Lbs. Their big fish came in at 4.66 lbs.  great weight for a tough day on the Bay.

Eighth place money spot of  $ 200 was secured by the team of Douglas Reed and Hayden Reed who had a 5 bass limit for 18.89 pounds and a big fish of 4.09 Lbs.

Ninth place cash  of $ 150 was collected by the team of Victor Auriemma and Troy Bowings who brought 5 fish to the scales for 18.58 Lbs.

Tenth place and final money spot of  $ 100 was collected by the team of Terry Roberson and Andrew Chianese who brought 5 fish to the table for 18.49 Lbs. with a big fish of 5.32 lbs.

Twelfth money spot was won by by the team of Matt Weber and Logan Beebe who brought 5 fish to the scales for 17.93 Lbs. earning them a 75 dollar 5 pound bag of Black Rifle Coffee. Their big fish was 5.52 Lbs.

13th spot was won by Nate Golla and Wayne Golla . The team brought in 5 bass for 17.77 Lbs. with a big fish of 4.27 pounds giving them a $ 60 card from Zee Bait  Company a local plastics maker from SE Pa.

14th place went to the team of Michael Duarte and Matt Iman who sacked 5 fish for 17.77 Lbs. Nice work on tough day. The team gets a set of $ 50 Non puncture cull tags from Cal Coast Fishing.

15th spot was collected by the team of Chris Swearer and Corbin Gotwalt  who brought 5 fish to the table for 17.44 Lbs. earning them a $ 50 card from Eastern Marine of Newark, De.

16th place won $ 50 Steak & Main restaurant card. Located on Main St. in North East, rated one of the top Steak house in the Mid Atlantic.
Reno Regalbuto andTroy Polhamus brought in a limit of bass for 17.43 Lbs. with a big fish of 5.26 Lbs.

Devynn Brown and Jake Stuckey put together 5 bass for 17.35 Lbs.

Included in that bag was the CCBM Tournament Lunker, a 6.31 big girl that was worth an additional
$ 970 in the cash lunker payout.

Jackson Staib and David Andrews weighed in 5 bass for 16.90 Lbs with a big fish of 4.08 Lbs to win the tungsten.
